Elsa Mora http://www.artisaway.com/ is an artist who paints, works with ceramics, makes paper cut-outs and tiny artists’ books.
Natalia Nedza, BAFA1 is exhibiting her work in the Library Special Collection cabinets. This is her artist’s statement:
‘In my work I question the concept of ‘feminine’ crafts. I am interested in the relation between their simple, practical function and the language of materials, forms and processes. I try to explore the idea of female’s historical and social legacy that the craft associates with. My work generates a number of meanings suggesting its links to female body, crafts, everyday life, and representative nature of sculptures/installations. Thanks to the degree of ambiguity in my work the audience is welcome to interpret it according to their own idea too’.
The exhibition will run 20 - 24 May.

‘I ask the viewer to reexamine quilts and cloth in my work. By viewing the pieces the viewer takes away a new understanding of craft and function, as well as art and materiality’.

Jennifer Khoshbin is a US based book artist, sculptor and illustrator who also uses collage in her work. Her work can be seen in ‘Illustration play 2’ and ‘Playing with books’ in NUA Library
Lina Scheynius http://www.linascheynius.com/ is a Swedish born photographer, based in London. She started by posting her photos on blogs and websites and now works as a professional photographer. Her editorial work includes clients such as Dazed & Confused
